A typical French themed garden decorated with creepers, flowers, trees and shrubs flowing fluidly from the ceiling with a white decor as you enter the main reception room. I was eager to taste the Brut and as I sipped it, it was very vivacious and refreshing and tasted the Octopus Hors d’oeuvre with it, which was perfectly paired with the Brut.

The golden bursts with abundance of fruity flavors like citrus blossom, green apple with hints of vanilla, just refreshed me and was tantalizing. The Chenin Blanc grape is sharp while tasting the Brut and the lingering dry taste was felt.

Bombay’s top caliber et crème de la crème attended the event, Shobhaa and Dilip De, Queenie Singh, Anu and Sunny Dewan, Natasha and Adar Poonawala, Bandana Tewari, Michelle and Yohan Poonawala, Nishka Lulla, Sabina and AD Singh, Surily Goel, Renu Chainani, Vijesh Patel, Masaba, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Sohail Khan, Evelyn Sharma, Dino Morea, Rahul Akerkar, Pia Trivedi, Sheena Sippy, Mehul & Minita Patel, Nandita Mahtani, Roohi and Chetan Jaikishen, Sushmita Sen, Mehr and Arjun Rampal, Konkana Bakshi, Nisaba Godrej, and others attended the uber Chandon launch and which left all mesmerized.

While enjoying a light Cuban cigar, I tasted the Rosé, and being a complex wine, it took few minutes for me to understand the Rose and the taste unfurled slowly capturing my palate, it was unveiled, rose petals, cherries, grapefruit and guava filled my palate, a mature wine with red fruits and superfine with the Shiraz grapes being dominant, it was very balanced with good acidity.

As the eclectic music beats by Parisian DJ Stéphane Pompougnac, who was specially flown down for the launch, did engross the guests attention to his electronica music and they did danced and swayed to it.
